Edda and Stjarna video

Stjarna is slowly gaining weight and looking a whole lot better. She still has some sores in various places but even they seem to be getting better, if slowly. Edda is doing well, happy and starting to play more. Has been a long time since I have had a baby horse on the place....we are all really enjoying it.

Theia was our last foal and she will be 6 years old at the end of June. Where has the time gone?!

Icelandic filly pictures and a video

DH took some photos of me this morning...when I was trying to take photos of the filly. She had more interest in the buttons on my jacket.

Stjarna doesn't look as good as I would like in this video... however, she is looking much better in person. But here is Edda...

The Icelandic Filly is finally born

Presenting the Silver Bay Icelandic filly. In the process of picking a name for her.
Curious wee filly. Can see the grey mane and the white with a bit of grey on top tail and an itty bitty wee star on her face.
She is a Glymur frá Innri-Skeljabrekka granddaughter, out of Stjarna fra Chapman Crest and Dynfaxi fra Rivendell.

Flowering Tress and Nari

One of the Japanese Flowering Cherry trees.

Flowering cherry and the old Apple tree. Blossoms are much prettier in person.

Equines taking a nap and if you look closely,, can see the flower petals drifting in the wind.

A carpet of fresh flower petals...

Nari being cute.

The Dance of the Cherry bloosms ~ Videos

As you can see... it was very nice the other day. The Japanese Cherry bloosms were drifting by in the wind.

Took a photo of Nari, DS and the cherry petals moving around in a flurry of wind.

The Garden ~

I know it is looking more like a dirt garden but things will grow an take over in time. Photos were taken a couple of weeks ago. Brussels sprout plants in front and planted my Artichoke in the pot to help protect it from the gopher...Crossing my fingers it will work.
Peas on the hog panels in the back.. then cauliflower, broccoli and three tiny bell pepper plants in front.

Bean poles... rustic ones again to add more character to the garden. LOL...
You can not see them here but both the bush and pole beans are coming up, too.
So the Kitchen garden is slowly getting there .
