Mom made me a Scarf from my Yarn

 This is the beautiful Scarf my Mother made me.

 From the yarn I hand spun.

Now that Rose has grown up, I can again spin in the

 front room.
This is what I am working on right now,

 a super soft, Blue Faced Leicester.
In a off white, silver, soft tans and browns. Will make a nice

heathered look, once knitted into something.

I bought a couple of polyester pillows from Zazzle 

when they had their 1/2 off sale.
Both pillows have my Art on them.
Using this one for back support when I am spinning yarn

 and it is working perfectly.

Bantams old and New ~

Same two eggs, one With a Flash, the other WithOut.
Color is really like the above photo.

Blue Quail d'Anver hen, strutting over for a treat.

Claire loves to sit on my Arm, but not when the camera is in her face.

Claire below, she wanted on my Arm, but I was trying to get photos of the 4 new pullets.
So she flew up to the perch over my head and tried to land on my hat.

Goldielocks,  a Belgian d'Anver, trying to hatch out a golf ball.
I did end up putting 7 of her eggs in the incubator.
Kind'a of silly for this time of year but I just couldn't help myself. ;O)

Halo, one of the remaining Lavenders. Knock on wood, she is going ok..
but I am not going to breed any more pure lavenders, to many genetic problems.

Pretty sure the most green tiny egg above, is one of hers.

One of my Porcelain d'Uccle hens, finishing up her Molt.

And another Porcelain d'Uccle Hen... including her tail feathers!
Poor thing looks very scruffy.

Two of the 4 new hens I went 2 1/2 hours to pickup.
One on the left is a very rare, hard to find Silver Millie Fleur, the other is
a normal Millie Fleur color.
Both are super gentle and not sure about their new home.
But with time and treats, they will come around.

Beaks are a bit long, will trim those once they settle in.

Brought the Roses inside ~

Brought the Roses inside for the winter, since they just died when I left them out.
They should be quite happy with the grow light.

Had a credit at a local nursery, and they had a star Jasmine for 75% off...

 got that, another another Japanese Maple tree, which is now in a pot outside.
Is a Hconitiol, and the friends and family that remember the Photographs I took at the Portland Japanese Garden, will remember how cool that one is. VBG

Blue Wheaten Ameraucana and Crested Cream Legbar chickens ~

They are growing up fast. Above is Buttercup, 

who wants a treat.
Her and the Pullet below are a

Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.

One of two Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Roosters... this one is called Broken Toe.

 Group shot. Raising the Legbars and Ameraucana's together, so they will all get along this winter.

Next spring, each breed will go into their own pasture, to make sure I have pure bred offspring.

Many trying to take a dust bath, in one spot.

Their area, used to be thick with grass.. they pretty much ate and stomped it all to death.

Dust bath in sand and alfalfa chop.

Yes, even though they will be a full sized chicken, then can fly rather well.

The Fawn ~

Late April early May, a tiny fawn showed up.
Saw the mother for the first month, but never again. 

Fawn was too small to jump the fencing she is in.
She/he has grown slowly, and still has spots, far longer than normal.
She is always in that front pasture.

I don't mind having the fawn up there, but the way the hunters are around here,

opening fencing, shooting guns on our property, and some times at me and causing a lot of problems...

Good thing we now have a lot of game cameras up.
Because the local police has made it clear they can't be trusted to follow State law.
Anyone caught on camera doing any harm to my place or livestock any more...
I will be sending the photos and a letter to the,

                        State Attorney Generals office.

Maggie is doing a lot better ~

 Am sooo happy Maggie is doing better.

 Need to enlarge her wee paddock, was going to do it last weekend but too sick.
She is feeling well enough to pace along her fence.
So this coming weekend, should be well enough to work on it.

Finally got around to taking a photo of Maggie in her shed.
Was to be the sheep shed for the sheep pasture.... but Maggie needed it more.

 And Miss Maggie, is happily dumping her breakfast all over the stall mats. :P

 I used to keep Maggie's mane roached, as we drove quite often.
Since she has been sick, let it grow out again. However this time, decided to train it to be a split mane.
As her mane is super, super thick and gets really long.
