Terracotta Army, One more time ~~

Had to have the kneeling Archer behind me. ;O)
Went to see the stunning Terracotta Army one last time.

Took the better camera but the lightening made it
difficult to get really good photos.

Would been beyond impressive when they were first created and to see all the bright colors they would of been painted with....

Click on each photo if you want to see a larger version.

Loved the details.

The saddle on the horse was really well done, even after 3,000 years in the ground.

Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China ~

Finally went to see this exhibit.
Was incredible.

Legacy of the First Emperor of China.
More than 40 objects in the exhibition have never before been on view in the United States.
My DH thinks the one above looks smug,  maybe, most likely because he has a horse and the others do not..  ;O)

This horse was about the size of Dyfra, an Iceland mare.

Each piece was incredibly done and to think each of those faces was a person 3,000+ years ago.
I only had my cell phone and the first time I used its camera.
So the photos are not the best.

This piece was the only replica and the horses are about the size of my miniature mare, Maggie.

They fashioned deer around the Sea shells.

Quiche ~

I have not cooked much in the last few months.
A friend shared this recipe and it
was fast and very easy.

Turned out very well....
Brussels sprouts, sheep yogurt, eggs and sheep cheese.... Guess you could call it a crust-less Quiche.
 Yum !

Pax River and the Solomon Islands

Back on 5 Nov, spent 4 days at Pax River,
and took some time to check out the Solomon Islands.

Neat little place.... Just got around to uploading the photos.

Went to a little but very nice Marine Museum.

Was really nice because this time of year, there was no one else around.

The Otters, sea horses and turtle were behind some seriously thick glass. Kind'a surprised the photos came out.
